Learn Roadbook Navigation
Inspired by the ‘Dakar Rally’ style of navigation, a roadbook leads you waypoint to waypoint on an adventure into the unknown!
The events are run through the Global Rally app and your navigation, adherence to speed zones and top speed is monitored by our GPS tracking system.
Join a practise day
Throughout the year we will run practise days where you can come and learn about the roadbook navigation and drive one of our routes so that you can get the hang of things before embarking on one of the bigger ‘challenges’.
Drive the stages in your own time!
The challenges run over a specific time period and you can do any of the stages in your own time within that period.
You can do one route one weekend and carry on the next weekend. You do not have to do the routes in order and you can start at any time of day you like – even 3am if you want to!
Online league table
The scoring for the challenges will be displayed on the online League Tables – see how you compare to your friends and fellow drivers.
The participants with the lowest (best) scores will appear in the Overall League table.
Different classes available
There is a class to suit your vehicle:
– Sports and GT
– Modern
– Retro
– Classic
Aim for a 'zero hero' award
The lower your score the better. If you score zero for a whole challenge then you will be awarded a “Zero Hero” trophy. Medals will be awarded to participants as follows:
Gold: Top – 10
Silver: 11 – 20
Bronze: 21 – 30
The UK’s only club dedicated to roadbook navigation challenges
Global Rally challenges are navigated by a rally style roadbook, using the dedicated app – everything you need to take part is included in the app:-
– The digital roadbook
– An accurate trip
– The GPS tracking, for assistance on course and for the scoring.
The routes will have refuelling and pit stops marked for breaks and a coffee.
These are navigation and driving challenges – NOT SPEED CHALLENGES.
